Our Association

  • Nearly 50 years of experience in simultaneous, consecutive, and whispered interpreting services

ASSOINTERPRETI – Associazione Nazionale Interpreti di Conferenza Professionisti (National Association of Professional Conference Interpreters) – was established in 1974.

Its members specialise in simultaneous, consecutive, and whispered interpreting services. The Association has the following aims: representing the profession; safeguarding the interests of its members at all appropriate levels; fostering education, training, and continuing professional development of its members; promoting and disseminating the role of the profession in helping bridge linguistic and cultural barriers among peoples; and laying down ethical, procedural, and contractual rules, as well as monitoring and enforcing members’ compliance therewith.

ASSOINTERPRETI is a non-profit organisation: clients can contact our professionals directly or through our Regional Secretariats, thereby avoiding agency fees.

  • Professional interpreters working at national and global level, and covering a wide range of languages

Our members, who are based all over the country, provide interpreting services in many languages, e.g. English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, and Chinese.

With their extensive general knowledge, formal specific education and training, continuing professional development, and high standards of professional conduct, our members are qualified to provide high-quality services in all fields.

Our interpreters can deal with any topic covered by international meetings and conferences, thanks to their meticulous preparation for each assignment and to their experience, demonstrated by thousands of days of work.

  • A professional association active in Italy and abroad

Pursuant to law 4/2013, Assointerpreti awards a professional quality certification to its members. Assointerpreti’s certification system has been validated by CIS (Comitato di indirizzo e sorveglianza), a guidance and oversight committee consisting of representatives from CoLAP (Coordinamento Libere Associazioni Professionali – a national organisation of associations representing non-regulated professions), and by Adiconsum (a national consumer protection association).

    Assointerpreti is a member of:

These professional associations leverage the skills of their members and enforce compliance with their rules of conduct, facilitating the choice of consumers and protecting them in accordance with competition rules and with law 4/2013.
